Movie Review: Deadpool (2016)

Deadpoo 2

Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a former Special Forces operative who now works as a mercenary. His world comes crashing down when evil scientist Ajax (Ed Skrein) tortures, disfigures and transforms him into Deadpool. The rogue experiment leaves Deadpool with accelerated healing powers and a twisted sense of humor. With help from mutant allies Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Deadpool uses his new skills to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Yes, watched it for the first time today and going into it I had no idea what to expect! But, wow! It was so not what I expected. I’ll try not to ramble on too much! Spoilers and shit below! You’ve got to watch that movie! That shit’s amazing! It’s the mother of fourth wall break-ception! All 16 of ’em! Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man! How do I even? Do I even? Those 16 walls aside the movie: the story! the characters! the script! were totally awesome! I was just waiting for Colossus to say he feels it in his belly. North, is that you? Who would have thunk it? Of course Jack wants to be a Guardian… wait… wrong movie… oops, haha-ha! I mean, of course Jack’s a Guardian Deadpools an X-Man – he’s D-Man! Haha! I made a funny!

On a serious note, the movie was epic! Not the stereotypical hero movie and ample backstory and character development unlike some movies *cough, cough* Guardians of the Galaxy *cough, cough* and the flawed characters felt real  and relate-able-ish! As much as is possible for a Marvel movie that constantly breaks the 4th wall. How much did they have to spend fixing the damage to those 16 walls? Do you think Deadpool is a forever break fourth walls kind of guy?

The 4th wall breaks, the references, the obvious middle finger to Wolverine!  The amazing cast and plot and script and everything… so coool! I love the movie! Go watch it. 10/10! Great movie, would movie again! … I mean watch!

It felt like we were three mini-lion robots, coming together to form one super robot!

There’s a stupid… heh!

Until next time, folks!

Warm (giant robot) hugs!

Morgenstern!
